CEMS

Why would you want or need a CEMS or continuous emissions monitoring system? Well to start with these systems are very handy when it comes to keeping the EPA from levying huge fines on your company for failing to meet emissions standards. No one likes to pay fines so keeping up your emissions monitoring just makes sense.

Another benefit may be a bit more long term in coming to fruition, but by keeping a constant monitoring of of your plants systems with CEMS you will be forewarned when systems begin to lose efficiency and will be able to handle potential problems with maintenance instead of potentially costly repairs.

So there are two rather substantive reasons that you might want to have a CEMS installed and running at your factory or plant. Once the system has been running for a while you may find other valuable uses for the data collected depending on your individual industry.
